We understand that sometimes affording to pay your rent can be difficult, and unexpected costs can arise.
If for any reason you cannot pay your rent, get in touch with us straight away. Try to have a plan in place as to when you will be able to pay your rent by writing down what money you have coming in and what you have to pay out. This will make it easier for you to work out when you will be able to send payment. In most instances we can make arrangements for you to catch up with your rent at a later date, however we may need to consult with your Landlord before an arrangement can be agreed.
You need to remember that it is important that you pay your priority expenses which are your rent, council tax and utilities first.
Please also be aware that if you do not maintain rental payments you will be at risk of loosing your home. If you are experiencing financial difficulty, please seek independent advice, such as from the Citizens Advice Service Bureau.
